Jeff was a total pleasure and blast to work with. It’s incredibly difficult to find a realtor you can really trust and connect with and Jeff was just that. He is very grounded and down to earth, and very knowledgeable in his field. I felt like he immediately picked up on who we were and what we were looking for, and always had our best interests in mind. He was very knowledgeable about VA loans which was such a bonus for us. He was very responsive and helpful, on top of being overall great guy. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future, or recommend him to anyone looking for a great realtor. As someone who has played a part in hundreds of real estate closings, I can confidently tell you that Jeff is a realist who takes a professional approach, gives sage advice, advocates for his clients' interests. Sometimes, as an attorney, one of the major stumbling blocks is realtor communication. It can be difficult for busy professionals to connect, stay in the loop, and keep each other on the same page. Jeff made that part easy. And he opened the pool (!) for the recent sale we did together. I was referred to Jeff Grossarth through another realtor that is also part of the Home for Heroes Program. As a teacher and first time home buyer I did a lot of research trying to find the right program and realtor that could work with our needs. When we started the housing process we were looking anywhere within a certain distance from the city and from our jobs, which meant that we also wanted to look into Connecticut areas because it is near NY. For our house search, we were actually working with two amazing realtors, one that is licensed in NY and Jeff who is licensed in CT. Listen, not a lot of realtors are willing to work with you knowing you are also looking somewhere else, but Jeff was the complete opposite. He was flexible, determined and genuinely wanted to help us find the perfect home. From the day we met Jeff, we felt extremely comfortable sharing about what we were looking for in a home, especially because we wanted to be able to have a reasonable commute to the city. He was amazing, honest and passionate about his work. Every week he would share listings that were coming soon to the market or properties that fit my criteria. I was actually quite impressed with how quickly he knew what I was looking for because I would spend a lot of time doing my independent house search to see what was in the market and my findings would always overlap with what Jeff would send me. We saw multiple properties with Jeff. He would schedule property viewings and was always willing to meet us for any house I was interested in. What I appreciated the most was for the viewings instead of sugar coating and trying to sell the house, he was honest. He would point out things that would require some work or repairs, be realistic on things we would need to keep an eye out for and share it in the most professional and respectful manner. As a first time homebuyer you truly appreciate the genuine and knowledgeable insight because we would have never thought about these small things! With this aggressive house market, we placed offers in both CT and NY. After several attempts we were finally able to close on a beautiful home in New York, and while we weren't able to close with Jeff in CT we are extremely thankful for all the help throughout the process. If you are considering Connecticut as a place to purchase, I highly recommend working with Jeff! On a side note, as a Gen Y or millennial, I need to highlight how much I loved his app. It was user friendly and I loved navigating it as I looked for the most up-to-date listings in Connecticut.
